Business Description:
Nick Scali Limited (NCK) is an Australian retailer and importer of quality furniture, specialising in quality leather and fabric lounges, dining rooms, bedrooms and occasional furniture. Core brands include Nick Scali brand, Sofas2Go and Chateau d’Ax.

Strategy Analysis:
It is expected that further stores for both the Nick Scali and Sofas2Go brands will open in the future. NCK have also secured the Australasian rights for the premium Italian retail brand Chateau d’Ax, aimed at the top end of the market, and have a long term strategy to enhance growth gradually.. Nick Scali reported NPAT up 22.6% to $6.45m for the half-year ended 31 December 2012. Revenues from ordinary activities were $62.93m, up 17% from last year. Basic and Diluted EPS were 8.0 cents compared to 6.5 cents last year. Net operating cash flow was $5.57m compared to $4.62m last year. The interim dividend declared was 6.0 cents, compared with 4.5 cents last year.
