As you know, InvestSMART is a completely free service. We are not a product manufacturer, so we do not have our own managed funds. We are basically a financial supermarket, distributing a wide range of financial products including managed funds, IPOs (floats), mortgages and insurance.

As a broker, it’s a catch 22. The more clients we have, the better deals we can get for our clients. Lucky for us, we have lots of clients and can already provide better deals than most on nearly all-financial products. Our aim is to help you get into the financial product you are interested in at the best possible price.

For example, we already save our clients thousands on their mortgages. With interest rates on the move upwards, it is a great time to see what sort of savings you can make now by refinancing your loan, fixing it, or changing providers.

If you want to see if we can reduce your loan repayments on any sort of loan, please click here to fill in a quick request form or call us on 1300 880 160. One of our mortgage specialists can speak to you and figure out the best loan to suit your needs. Even better, our services are completely free!

Regards
The InvestSMART Team

more Macquarie Instalments - Making SMSF gearing easy

Instalments are an attractive investment proposition for share investors, especially via Self-Managed-Super-Funds, as they enable you to:

  • Leverage into growth investments, ie shares
  • Earn more dividend income - entitlement to the benefits of dividends and franking credits
  • Use excess franking credits to reduce tax#
  • Participate in capital movements of the underlying share

In addition to these benefits, there are no margin calls, so fluctuations in share prices during the course of the year will not result in you being asked to provide additional cash or collateral to meet margin requirements. Instalments are also listed on the ASX so the fund can sell them easily.

Instalments are an easy solution for investors to borrow to buy shares. With one part payment up front, no loan application forms, no messy administration and no margin calls, Instalments make borrowing to invest easy. You pay a fraction of the portfolio value as a first instalment and choose a gearing level that suits you, generally between 40% – 95%.

Reduced Brokerage Offer

Any client that invests in Macquarie instalments before 15th September 2006 will get the added benefit of reduced brokerage from the usual 3% down to 1%.

Changes in Director Interest

We have long held the view that a change in a listed company's share registry by its directors sends a clear signal to the market. In fact, such changes must be reported to the stock exchange and now, because of InvestSMART's unique Changes in Director Interest feature, they are also reported to investors. Click here to find out what company directors are doing with their shares.
