Babcock and Brown Residential Land Partners – Float/IPO expected to close 29 June 2006.
Babcock & Brown Residential Land Partners offers an opportunity to invest in an ASX listed vehicle, managed by Babcock & Brown, which will invest in a diversified portfolio of quality residential land development projects, to be developed by a range of Australia’s leading private developers.
Traditionally, major public and private development companies have dominated large-scale residential land development. The public has had limited access to listed residential land development opportunities, and has in the main been restricted to offerings from unlisted single asset syndicates.
BBRLP intends to pay a fixed yield of 7.5% for FY2007 and 8.25% for FY2008. The distributions will be predominantly out of capital and will be between 40% and 50% tax deferred. Security holder returns will comprise distributions and movements in the market price of stapled securities and may not reflect the returns of the underlying investments of BBRLP.
